Sports Research Institute
Sports Research Institutewas established as a “Scientific Research Sector” in 1962, as an integral part of the Higher Institute of Physical Culture “Vojo Kushi”, where it covered the organization of scientific activity. From 1974 to 1986 the Scientific Research Sector of Sports was doubly dependent on the Union of Physical Education and Athletes of Albania (BFSSH / KOKSH) and ILKF “Vojo Kushi”. From 1987 to 1992 only as part of BFSSH. In 1992 BFSHS was reorganized as the Albanian National Olympic Committee, and SKSH with the criticism of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, also in 1992, passes under this department. In 1995 we have a reorganization of the SKSH in the “Scientific Scientific Research Center”, and again under the auspices of the MCYS. In 2009, QKSHS, returns as an integral part of the Academy of Physical Education and Sports “Vojo Kushi”, and in 2010 onwards, with the establishment of the University of Sports of Tirana on the basis of AEFS, is reorganized as a Sports Research Institute, one of the three main constituent units of the SUT.
The Scientific Research Institute of Sport creates, develops and protects, as well as transmits knowledge, mainly through scientific research, but also through teaching, based on national and international standards of scientific research, in order to: study, evaluate, and address and solving the needs of practical and theoretical developments in the Albanian Sports System, and also contributes to the formation of senior specialists and the preparation of young scientists in the field of Sports Science, Physical Education and Physical Activity of Health.
